The Israeli customs directorate published their working schedule during the coming 2016 Jewish Passover holiday.

 

The Passover 2016 holiday begins in the evening of Friday, April 22nd and ends in the evening of Saturday, April 30th.

 

Working hours at Custom field offices:

On 22nd April 2016, Customs at Ashdod, Haifa, and Tel Aviv main postal office will be closed.

 

Customs at Ben Gurion International Airport will be working from 08:00 until 12:00.

 

Cargo operations at Border crossings: Jordan River Border Terminal (Sheik Hussein border crossing) Allenby Bridge border crossing, Yitzhak Rabin Border Terminal (Arava Terminal), Nitzana Border Crossing (From Egypt), will be closed.

 

On 23rd April 2016 - Jewish Passover holiday (Passover celebrates the deliverance of the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt.)

 

On 24th April 2016 up to and including 27th April 2016

Customs at Ashdod, Haifa, Ben Gurion International Airport will be working from 08:00 until 13:00.

 

Allenby Bridge border crossing, cargo operations - 08:00-14:00

Nitzana Border Crossing, cargo operations - 08:00-14:00

Jordan River Border Terminal (Sheik Hussein border crossing) – 06:30-14:00

Yitzhak Rabin Border Terminal - 08:00-14::00

 

Tuesday 26th April 2016 - Customs at Ashdod and Haifa will clear personal effects import.

 

Thursday 28th April 2016 - Customs at Ashdod, Haifa and Tel Aviv main postal office, will be working from 08:00 until 11:00.

 

Customs at Ben Gurion International Airport, will be working from 08:00 until 12:00.

Allenby Bridge border crossing, cargo operations - 08:00-12:00

Nitzana Border Crossing, cargo operations - 08:00-12:00

Jordan River Border Terminal (Sheik Hussein border crossing) – closed

Yitzhak Rabin Border Terminal - 08:00-12:00

 

Customs export departments at customs field offices, at Ashdod, Haifa, Ben Gurion International Airport, will be operating as above. No second shift will be available for customs export services.

 

During the intermediate days of the holiday, the automated customs clearance system (Customs data management system) will be operating regularly during customs hours. However, in cases where imported goods are directed for more extensive customs processes, the examination will be postponed. Customs will only handle those goods which are subject to: direct delivery, animals, medicines, dangerous and radioactive cargo and raw materials for industry.
