According to D&B Israel the drop in the Procurement Managers Index was due to 8.1% drop in export demand
Israel Purchasing and Logistics Managers Association and D&B Israel’s Procurement Managers Index fell in May 2006 2.4% to 54.7% from 57.1% in April.
According to D&B Israel the drop in the Procurement Managers Index was due to 8.1% drop in export demand (from 64.5% in April to 56.4%), and a 2% drop in domestic demand ( from 54.2% in April to 52.2%).
Spokesman for D&B noted that the manufacturing sector was still expanding, for the seventh consecutive month, but the drop in May indicates that the expansion was slowing down.
