Israel's Daylight Saving Time ( DST ) will go into effect on Friday, 31 March 2006 at 2:00 AM local standard time
Daylight Saving Time will end on Sunday, 1 October 2006 at 2:00 AM local daylight time.
In early 2005 Knesset passed a law establishing the onset of DST every year at 2:00 AM on the last Friday before 2 April, i.e. on the Friday on or before April 1 (irrespective of when Passover falls) and ending at 2:00 AM on the Sunday between Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, and Yom Kippur.
