Net diamond exports (excluding returns) totaled US$3.04 billion in January-May 2006, compared with US$3.09 billion during the corresponding period in 2005
Data released last week by the Ministry of Industry & Trade shows that in May 2006 Israel’s diamond exports rose 9.5%.
According to the Ministry the overall export figures were discouraging, following the plunge in diamond exports in April. Net diamond exports (excluding returns) totaled US$3.04 billion in January-May 2006, compared with US$3.09 billion during the corresponding period in 2005.
In May 2006, diamond exports reached the total of US$880 million compared with US$804 million in May 2005
