According to statistics released by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), 290,000 tourist entries were registered in October 2015, as opposed to 224,000 in September 2015, an increase of 29%.

 

There was a 5% increase in tourist entries compared to October 2014.

 

In the period January - October 2015, 2.4 million tourist entries were registered, 4% less than the same period last year and 3% less than the same period in 2013. 257,000 tourists came by air in October 2015, 6% more than October 2014.

 

33,000 tourist entries were registered through the border crossings, with 25,000 coming through the border with Jordan and 8,000 from Egypt - 3% less compared to October 2014.

 

There was an increase of 2% in day visitors, 35,500 as opposed to 35,000 in October 2014.
