The Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) rose 1.8 points to 81.5 points in July (1996=100), following losses of 0.3 points in June and 1.2 points in May.

The trend in the CCI index, based on a three-month moving average, was up 0.9 points to 80.4 points in July, after gaining one point in June and two points in May.

In other words, the public continued last month to keep its distance from the pessimism that prevailed in the second half of 2013, even if slowly and unenthusiastically.

At the same time, it can be assumed that the real effect of the campaign in Gaza on the public's perceptions of the economy in the present and future will be felt only in the coming months.
