The Central Bureau of Statistics ( CBI ) reported last week Israel's foreign trade with most of Israel’s trading partners is on the rise.
 
In June-August 2005, exports, excluding diamonds, rose by an annualized 1.6% and imports rose by an annualized 6.8%.
 
in June-August Exports to the US rose by an annualized 17.7%, to the EU rose by an annualized 3.2% and to Asia by an annualized 12.7% exports to the rest of the world were unchanged in August.
 
Exports, excluding diamonds, totaled $17.5 billion in January-August 2005. The EU accounted for 35% of exports, the US 28%, Asia 15%, and the rest of the world 22%.

Imports from the US rose by an annualized 4.3% in July-August., from the EU rose by an annualized 2% and imports from Asia rose by an annualized 22.4%. Imports from the rest of the world rose by an annualized 42.5%.
 
Imports, excluding diamonds totaled $23.7 billion in January-August. The EU accounted for 37% of imports, the US 16%, Asia 18%, and the rest of the world 29%.
 
The CBI noted that the balance of trade figures for the period January-August 2005 show that Israel had a trade surplus equivalent to $1.1 billion with the US, but a trade deficit of $2.6 billion with the EU, $1.7 billion with Asia, and $3 billion with the rest of the world.
