According to data released last week by the Agricultural Ministry, exports of fresh agricultural produce form Israel in 2007 totaled $1.34 billion, up 32% from the 2006 figure.
The data show that almost all agricultural sectors experienced exports increase, but the largest, a 50% rise, was for citrus fruits, Israel's best-known agricultural export. The largest category was vegetables, making up 43% of exports.
Flowers made up 17% and various subtropical and deciduous fruits were another 16%.
Citrus fruits were 9%, various field crops 9%, and the same percentage went for other products such as melons and spices.
