During January - September total services exported reached US$17.8 billion, an increase of 17%
Balance of payment analysis prepared by the economic unit of the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute shows that export of services was down by 1% during the third quarter of 2008, compared with the second quarter of 2008.
The analysis also shows that turism services, which account for 16.5% of total export of services, was down 3% compared to the previous quarter, transport services, which account for 23% of total export of services, down 1%.
Exports of other services, software, communication, advertizing, marketing, research and development, which account for 60% of total services exported was down 0.3% in the third quarter.
The study noted, however, that during January – September 2008 total services exported reached US$17.8 billion, an increase of 17% compared to the parallel.
Total export of services in 2008 will reach us$22 billion, an increase of 11% compared to 2007.
