The Israeli Diamond Industry will recognize the important contribution of six leading figures to the global community, with the presentation of the first Israel Diamond Industry Awards during the World Diamond Congress
The awards will be presented by Israel Diamond Exchange President Avi Paz and Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association President Moti Ganz, at the concluding Gala Dinner on June 28, 2006 in Tel Aviv.
Receiving the awards will be: Mr. Nicky Oppenheimer, Chairman of the De Beers Group, Mr. Shmuel Schnitzer, President of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses, Mr. Lev Leviev, President of LLD Diamonds, Mr. Daniel Steinmetz, Co-Chairman of the Steinmetz Group of Companies, Mr. Alexander Nichiporuk, President, Alrosa Co. Ltd and Mr. Robert A. Gannicott, Chairman and CEO, Aber Diamond Corporation.
