Only 14,401 new cars were delivered during the ,month, 73,526 since the beginning of the year
The Israel Vehicle Importers Association has reported that vehicle deliveries fell by 8.4% for the fourth month of the year. Since the beginning of the year, 73,525 cars were delivered.
The association noted that in April 2012, only 14,401 new vehicles were delivered, down 15% from April 2011.
According to the association, the top selling car maker in Israel since the beginning of 2012 is Hyundai, with 9,435 deliveries, up 17% compared to the corresponding period of 2011. Ford is second, with 6,181 deliveries, up 134%, compared to the corresponding period of 2011. Kia is in third place, with 5,849 deliveries, up 38%. Toyota is fourth, with 4,705 deliveries, down 23%. Mazda, once the most popular car in Israel, was in fifth place, with 3,412 deliveries, down 55%.
