Export institute: Israeli firms stand good chance to participate in us$400 millions Ukrainian infrastructure projects
Mr. Shraga Brosh, Chairman of the Israel export institute, said that Israeli construction firms stand a good chance to be invited to take part in several multi-million euro construction projects in the Ukraine.
Brosh also estimated that in 2004 Israeli industrial exports to Ukraine will increase by 19% to us$71 millions. Some 350 Israeli firms are at present engaged in trade with Ukraine and this figure will, according to Brosh, increase in the short term.
Mr. Brosh said that the Ukrainian government is about to publish a tender for the construction of 7,000 apartments and a euro 30 millions project for sewage treatment in the city of Dniepropetrovsk, financed by the European Construction Bank.
An Israeli delegation consisting of 10 construction companies will visit Ukraine in October to explore the potential.
