Customs services at the various border crossings – Egypt & Jordan, will operate in accordance with the special New Year holiday working timetable
The Israeli Customs Authority issued a press release last week outlining their holiday working procedure during the forthcoming Jewish New Year holidays:
Monday 29th September 2008, New Year's eve.
Tuesday 30th September – Jewish New Year holiday.
Wednesday 1st October - Jewish New Year holiday.
Wednesday 8th October 2008, Yom Kippur's eve, customs offices will be closed.
Thursday 9th October 2008 – Yom Kippur (the Jewish High Holiday of Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement).
Monday 13th October 2008, Succot Holiday's eve, customs offices will be open half day only, between 08:00 up to 13:00.
Tuesday 14th October 2008 Succot Holiday
On 15th, 16th & 19th October 2008 customs offices, (except Jerusalem Customs House will remain close throughout the holiday period), will be open for limited working hours, between 08:00 up to 13:00.
Monday 20th October 2008 customs offices will be open half day only, between 08:00 up to 13:00.
Tuesday 21st October 2008 Succot 2nd Holiday.
Customs services at the various border crossings – Egypt & Jordan, will operate in accordance with the special New Year holiday working timetable which will be published by the Israeli Airport Authority. Since many Customs workers will be on holiday there may be delays in customs clearing.
Wednesday 22nd October 2008 end of holiday period – return to normal working hours
