The two sides agreed upon several improvements on security and customs formalities
Israeli and Jordanian customs officials met last week at the Yitzhak Rabin Border Terminal, formerly known as the Arava Terminal, in order to improve border formalities and increase cross-border productivity.
The Yitzhak Rabin Border Terminal, was the first border crossing to be opened between Jordan and Israel. Located about three kilometers north of Eilat, it serves those interested in short visits between the two countries. It is used by tourists and Israelis, as well as for cargo.
The two sides agreed upon several improvements on security and customs formalities.
Mr. Koby Yahav, head of Eilat customs and VAT office, presented his Jordanian counterpart with Mirs wireless telecommunication equipment which will enable the two sides to improve bilateral Communications.
