Lynn said on the second day of the "port2port International Logistics & Transportation Conference" that last year Israel's trade balance reached the $100 billion mark
 
Uriel Lynn, head of the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce, said on the second day of the "port2port International Logistics & Transportation Conference" held last week that from the end of 2003 until the end of 2006 Israel had turned out to be a major player in international commerce in the East Mediterranean region.
 
Lynn noted that last year Israel's trade balance reached the $100 billion mark, export of goods totaled $46.4 billion and import totaled $47.8 billion.
 
Israel, according to Lynn is already a major player whose purchasing power interest many European countries. In so far as service exports, Lynn noted that a dramatic increase in export of services was registered in 2006.
 
According to Lynn, total export of services reached the level of $19.6 billion, representing 10% increase compared to 2005. In 2006 export of services was 14% of the GDP and 31% of Israel's total exports.
