The pharmaceutical manufacturers committee representing the pharmaceutical industry at the Manufacturers Association of Israel said last week that sales of stolen, counterfeit and out of date pharmaceuticals for human as well as veterinary use was between NIS 100 million and NIS 130 million in 2007.

In a press release issued by the committee it was noted that medicines were stolen from 20 pharmaceutical warehouses and pharmacies during 2007, and that some of the stolen drugs reached the public.
