Israel's Consumer Index fall due to declines in prices of fuel, fresh products and jousing

The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) reported last week that Israel's Consumer Price Index fell by 0.2% in October from September, to 106.0.

The Central Bureau of Statistics noted that the declines in prices of fuel, fresh produce and housing pushed annual inflation down to 1.8% in October from 2.1% in September.

This is below the middle of the government's annual inflation target of 1-3%. The CPI has risen by 1.9% in the year to date, and by 1.8% in the twelve months to the end of October. Israeli inflation is expected to reach around 2.5% in the coming year.
