Orian has been involved, together with KKL-JNF, in a determined struggle to heal the scars of forest fires lit by Hizbullah missiles

Orian, one of Israel’s major logistics services providers, has been involved in recent years, together with KKL-JNF, in a determined struggle to heal the scars of forest fires lit by Hizbullah missiles during the Second Lebanese War.

The struggle is being waged, with the help of friends of KKL-JNF (Keren Kayemeth Le’Israel-Jewish National Fund) throughout Israel and worldwide.

During the war while fire fighters struggled with fires, Orian Ltd. was working round the clock and was heavily involved in importing firefighting foams and fire fighting retardants which were found to be highly effective and efficient throughout the war.

Yariv Pozner, Orian's marketing and sales director, noted that due to services rendered throughout the war, the company created very close working relations with KKL-JNF. Pozner added that Dr. Thomas C. Lieb, Chairman of the Management Board of Schenker AG,who visited Israel, declared his wish to actively participate in the creation of a green corner at the heart of Biriya Forest.

The result was a Biriya Forest rock trail which was recently inaugurated by Orian, the israeli representative of Schenker AG, and KKL-JNF. Pozner added that Orian has, since the war, enjoyed close strategic collaboration with KKL-JNF in the northern region, as the site is a scenic nature spot that serves hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.

The KKL-JNF is a non-profit corporation. Since its inception, the JNF has planted over 250 million trees in Israel. It has also built 180 dams and reservoirs, developed 250,000 acres (1,000 km2) of land and established more than 1,000 parks.
