The Israel Diamond Institute (IDI) announced last week that it will sponser the first ever Israel Diamond Pavilion at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, to be held on March 6-9, 2006.
It is understood that a total of 37 leading Israeli diamond manufacturers and diamond exporters will be exhibiting at this year Jewellery Show.
The IDI noted that Hong Kong is the second largest export market for Israel's polished diamond, representing 14% of total sales.
In 2005 Israeli exports of polished diamonds to Hong Kong reached $1.8 billion, an increase of 27% compared to 2004.
