According to data released by the Ministry of Economy,23,829 cars were imported in October 2014, twice as many, compared to the corresponding period last year.

 

Import in the ten months period January- October, totaled 210,593, up 6.7% over the corresponding period of 2013. 614 commercial vehicles were imported in October 2014, compared to 500 in October 2013, up 23%.

 

Import of household electrical goods in October 2014 was down compared to the corresponding period of 2013. Refrigerators were down 40%, washing machines down 41% and dishwashers 53%. Import of dryers registered increase of 29.3%. Import of entertainment electronics registered increase of 35% in TV import compared to the corresponding period of 2013 and DVD, down 38%.
