The Israel Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei reported that more than 120 products from Israel will be exhibited at the "Open Mind, Open Eye" food show set to kick off at supermarkets around Taiwan later this month.

The show will run from Nov. 19-Dec. 3. This will be the first time consumers in Taiwan will have the opportunity to choose from so many Israeli products.

The Israel Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei noted that the products on display will include crackers, seasonings for fish, vegetables and poultry, Red Sea salt, powders to make falafel (deep-fried balls made from chickpeas), and Tahini, an oily paste made from toasted ground hulled sesame seeds used in Middle Eastern cuisine.

Among the products to be exhibited are various spices commonly used for Middle Eastern dishes, as well as chewing gum infused with Hoodia parviflora to give dieters control over snacking and food cravings. Some of the 120 products will be hitting the Taiwan market for the first time.

During the "Open Mind, Open Eye" food show, the products will become available at the six "city'super" stores in Taipei, New Taipei, Hsinchu and Taichung.
