Motor Vehicles Importers Association: new car deliveries up moving to a new record

The Motor Vehicles Importers Association (MVIA) reported that Israel's vehicle market is moving towards a new record.

 

In November, according to the report, 19,754 new cars were delivered, up 17% from November 2013. The number of new vehicle deliveries in the first 11 months of 2014 was 229,294, up 14% from the corresponding period of 2013.

 

South Korea's Hyundai is the leading carmaker in terms of deliveries with 27,980 new vehicles sold this year, down 4% on last year. In second place is Toyota (Japanese auto giant) with 23,687 deliveries, up 29% and in third place is Kia Motors Corporation with 22,915 deliveries, up 26%. In fourth is Mazda Motor Corporation with 15,405 deliveries, up 67% and in fifth is Skoda with 12,415 deliveries, up 4%. In sixth is Suzuki with 12,158 deliveries, up 37%.
