Six years after its formation, the joint venture of Israel Corporation and China's Chery Automobile Company Ltd., sold its first Qoros 3 Sedan. 

 

Israel Corporation Ltd. is Israel’s largest holding company - a global player with over 70% of its consolidated revenues derived from worldwide operations. Its core holdings focus on industries that meet basic human, industrial and economic needs: fertilizers and specialty chemicals, energy, shipping and transportation.

 

Qoros vehicles are designed and engineered in Germany. They are built in Changshu, China, where the company is headquartered. The company says its “all-new, highly efficient” facility can produce 150,000 cars per year, and capacity “can be easily raised to 250,000 cars.”

 

The Qoros 3 sedan is marketed in two models, the Essence model with a six-gear manual transmission and 125-horsepower engine and the Qoros 3 Elegance model with automatic transmission and 154-horsepower engine.

 

The Qoros 3 is designed for the modern Chinese driver. It is equipped with advanced technologies, including an 8-inch touch screen for operating a mobile phone, built-in GPS, radio controls, and vehicle informatics. 

 

It also has the Qoros Cloud system for sharing information between the company and the driver's computer or smartphone to plan trips, obtain information about road conditions. The company will introduce its second production model at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
