The Israel Airport Authority announced last week that FC Flying Cargo won a four years contract to operate the Sheikh Hussein border crossing, Israel's main crossing point with Jordan.

FC - Flying Carg Group, one of Israel's leading logistic providers offer solutions for the operation and execution of the logistic SupplyChain, from the stage of ordering material from supplier, transportation, storage, shipping to production line, collection from finished goods productionline, warehousing, transportation and distribution to end customer.

The announcement brought about a strong opposition from the Israeli Federation of International Freight Forwarders and Customs Clearing Agents (IFFCCA) who argued that the decision to hand over the border crossing operation to F.C.- Flying Cargo put its members in a disadvantageous position.

IFFCCA's legal advisor Adv. S. Grossman addressed a letter to Mr. Gabi Offir, director general of the Israel Airport Authority noting that the decision will also provide F.C.- Flying Cargo with a great deal of commercial data that would not have otherwise reached the company and which will allow it to give preferential service to its own customers.
