Minister of the Interior Ophir Pines-Paz signed last week an order converting the Gaza transit points: Karny, Sufa, Erez and Kerem Shalom into regular border terminals.
 
In accordance with the newly signed ministerial order, the four transit points between Israel and the Gaza Strip will become the only terminals for leaving and entering the country.
 
The newly signed ministerial order which lay out guidelines concerning movements between Israel and the Gaza Strip indicate that entry to Israel is subject to the entry ordinance, and exit from Israel is subject to emergency regulations.
 
With the signing of the order the authority to issue transit permits will be in accordance with the Entry into Israel Law (5712-1952) and minister of the interior guidelines.
