Figures published last week by the Israeli car importers association show that total first-quarter sales came to 63,289 cars, an increase of 26% compared with the same period of 2010.

The report also noted that after more than 15 years, during which the most popular car among Israelis was the Mazda the latter lost its crown to Hyundai.
