The INRC assumed in 2003 responsibility for all the interurban road system, traffic management and control, planning, development and maintenance of the roads and their safety

The Israel National Road Company Ltd.(INRC) signed last week the first co-operation agreement with the US Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).  
 
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is a part of the U.S. Department of Transportation and is headquartered in Washington, D.C., with field offices across the United States.
 
The INRC assumed in 2003 responsibility for all the interurban road system, traffic management and control, planning, development and maintenance of the roads and their safety.

Mr. Alex Viznitzer, director general of the INRC said in a press release that the new co-operation agreement will assist the company in maintenance and safety operations which include the preservation of existing infrastructure and the improvement of long term comprehensive maintenance organization, planning and implementation of safety projects, improvement of the service level for road users, and developing user-friendly roads.
 
It is understood that employees of the INRC will participate in FHWAtraining activities mainly in the field of maintenance management system as well as creating efficient general maintenance model.
