ABX LOGISTICS Worldwide, one of the world’s leading transport and logistic groups, and the Israeli freight forwarder, Peltransport Ltd. owned by the Mugrabi and Sarig families, announced last week that they had signed a cooperation contract.
 
Under the terms of the contract, Peltransport Ltd. becomes ABX LOGISTICS Worldwide’s exclusive agent in Israel and a member of its international network of agents. ABX LOGISTICS was represented at the signature of the contract by Francesco Campironi, Director Airfreight Worldwide and Jacques Devos, Agent Network Manager, while Mr. Edmond Mugrabi represented Peltransport Ltd.
 
For Edmond Mugrabi and Francesco Campironi, both companies expect their new cooperation to foster new business and strengthen their presence in the forwarding & logistics business worldwide. Mr. Yuval Talpir, Peltransports’s Business Development Director explains: “Peltransport was keen to link up with a worldwide network and was seeking a partner who could fit in with our strategic vision and organizational culture”.
For its part, ABX LOGISTICS Worldwide was looking for a new partner in Israel to ensure continuous growth in this important market. “Peltransport is the ideal partner for us as they are also export-orientated which will fit ideally in our network and are well-known for their quick solution findings,"says Francesco Campironi.
 
Cooperation between ABX LOGISTICS and Peltransport will provide the Israeli market with full “one-stop shopping" services for import and export freight forwarding and logistics. Customers of the two companies will benefit from better capacity procurement rates and increased expertise.
 
 
ABX LOGISTICS Worldwide is one of Europe’s 10 leading transport and logistic groups, organizing air, sea and road shipments to worldwide destinations on behalf of industrial enterprises. The group is established in 30 countries, employing 10,000 people across the world. Turnover in 2003 stood at 2.3 billion euros.
