"Amit" group, one of Israel's leading freight forwarder and customs clearing agents, and Panalpina World Transport, a leading global logistic provider, celebrated last week 40 years of close co-operation.

As early as 1965 Amit's management realized not only the huge future potential in setting up close business co-operation between the Israeli freight forwarding companies and their international counterparts, but also that the whole nature of transport would change to a more sophisticated and personalized service.

Today, Amit group is among a few market leaders in the Israeli international freight forwarding sector. The company has built up a highly modern logistic infrastructure and regard the close ties it has with Panalpina as the main factor for the company being able to provide global tailor made logistic services to is clients.

Amit group is owned and managed by Mr. Amir Shani, past president of the federation of Israeli international freight forwarders and customs clearing agents and presently the chairman of the finance committee of the Tel Aviv Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Ron Beeri, past president of IELA - International Exhibition Logistic Associates.
