Avi-Ad Logistics Services Ltd and Avi-Ad international logistics 2000 Ltd, set up an Arab desk to cater for the logistic needs of the Israeli Arab sector, the Palestinian Authority international trade as well as for the development of trade with neighboring Arab countries.
The newly set Arab desk is headed by Mr. Jacob Setty, expert in Mid-Eat affairs previously counselour at the Israeli Embassy in Cairo, Egypt.
Mr. Setty is assisted by Mr. Jammil Gnaim an experienced sales and marketing director at the north of the country where large Arab population live.
In order to meet the special logistic needs of Arab businessmen, the company formulated a special tailor made package of services as well as Arab speaking personnel who will conduct close and continuous ties with their clients.
In an interview Mr. Setty added that since the setting up of the desk and the personal touch the company adopted vis-א-vis its Arab clients, Avi Ad has managed to strengthen its position in the Israeli Arab sector as well as in the Palestinian Authority. Setty added that based on the current Mid East situation, on the eve of disengagement, in an atmosphere of change in which historic breakthrough in relations with Arab countries are made he expected Avi Ad to become a central player in the logistics and customs clearing market.
Setty cited the newly signed QIZ agreement which is a win-win accord for egypt and Israel. The agreement will bring a win-win result to both Egypt and Israel as Egypt wants more jobs and Israel wants a meaningful peace. The accord will increase Egypt's economic growth rate, create more jobs and boost the volume of Israeli-Egyptian trade to 70 million dollars a year from the current annual level of 44 million dollars.
