Mr. Gideon Peri director general of GCX announced that his company had inaugurated a new express service from Taiwan to Israel. He added that in similarity to the highly successful Chinese operation, where the company operates through a local express operator CAE, in Taiwan the company had joined forces with a local express operator to handle express cargoes destined to Israel.

According to Peri, GCX (a Krief Group company) regards the Far Eastern markets as highly strategic with volumes growing steadily.

GCX was set up following the signing of a sole agency agreement between the Krief group and China Air Express, a Chinese express operator. Since the signing of the agreement GCX has widened its services to Hong Kong and now to Taiwan. The company has plans to further its express activities to a few more countries in the Far East.

Peri added that the courier activities vis-א-vis Taiwan concentrate in two distinct areas:
The first – import of products made in Taiwan for distribution in Israel. The second - serving Israeli industries which subcontract firms in Taiwan for the production of goods in Taiwan.

In both cases the absolute advantage GCX possess over multinational express operators is the fact that the service is run through a local operator able to answer each and every logistic demand put forward by an Israeli company.
