Orian, one of Israel’s major logistics services providers held last week a conference which was aimed at introducing new logistic technologies toward local semiconductor manufacturers.
50 leading semiconductor logistic specialists participated at the event. The conference was held at Sgula near Kiryat Gat where the New Intel FAB is being built. For the event Orian invited Mr. Stefan Kaster, director of marketing to the high-tech industries, at Schenker.
Mr. Kaster outlined Schenker's tailor made global logistic solutions to the semiconductor industry through its KAMO - Key Account Management Organization which allows the management of customers on a large scale, to be performed from the company’s head office in Germany, permitting global and central customer management. Schenker, according to Kaster, has gained vast experience in the semiconductor industry, working closely with Applied and Infineon.
Participants were also presented with up to date warehousing facilities offered by SCG Logistics a leading SCM (Supply Chain Management) provider. The company specializes in outsourcing of logistic services and solutions in order to give the customer tailor made solutions for his specific needs working with only one point of contact and in the most professional and efficient way.
