The three months project is an entirely new stage to upgrade Tower Semiconductors clean rooms infrastructure
 
Tower Semiconductors announced last week that Newlog had been chosen to handle the company's air freight forwarding for the import of new sets of equipment for the company's clean rooms operations. The equipment will be sourced from suppliers in the USA, EU, Japan and Taiwan.
 
Tower Semiconductor Ltd. manufactures integrated circuits (ICs) with geometries ranging from 1.0 to 0.13 micron; it also provides complementary technical services and design support.
 
ICs manufactured by Tower are incorporated into a wide range of products in diverse markets, including consumer electronics, personal computer and office equipment, communications, automotive, industrial, professional photography and medical products.
 
Ms Aliza Maman head of Newlog's forwarding department and director of the clean rooms project said that the three months project is an entirely new stage to upgrade Tower Semiconductors clean rooms infrastructure. Maman added that moving clean rooms equipment requires not only safe & secured transport network but also highly door to door synchronized operation.
 
Mr. Victor Alfasi Tower Semiconductors' logistic director said that the decision to select Newlog as a sole provider of air-freight services for the project was based on previous experienced in which Newlog performed clean –room movement extremely well.
Newlog, a logistic subsidiary of Zim Integrated Shipping Services, has recently reached an agreement to work with full partnership with UTi.
