Six years ago when Orian became a strategic partner of Schenker Stinnes Logistics, Mr. Henning Zimmermann arrived in Israel to act as Schenker's director at the joint board of directors.
Having spent six years in Israel, developing Schenker global contacts, Zimmermann leaves for Qatar where he will direct Schenker's operations in one of the fastest growing international logistic markets.
In a farewell party given by Orian, prior to his departure, Zimmermann expressed his utmost satisfaction from the personal & business contacts he managed to established during his term of office, which he promised to keep.
Mr. Chen Lamdan, director general of Orian, one of Israel 's major logistics services companies and a leader in the field, noted that Mr. Zimmermann was not only the most important link between Schenker and Orian but also one of the most professional persons in logistic whose knowledge was a major contributor to the bilateral relations of the two companies.
Mr.Peter Galatz, Schenker's regional director for the Near & Middle East, who was present in the event, expressed Schenker's thanks for the time he served in Israel and wished Zimmermann success in his new post.
Mr. Zimmermann will be replaced by Mr. Eyal Paran who, for many years, directed the Israeli Desk at BAX Global's operation in North America.
