The PORT2PORT event, Israel's one-day key annual event in the field of logistics, and an exhibition for trade, transport and logistics, ended few days ago.

The event which was organized in collaboration with Government Ministries and public institutions and with the participation of leading logistic providers in the market, opened on June 6th at the Tel Aviv fairgrounds, one of the most modern conference and exhibition facilities in Israel.

This year, the conference focused on cost-cutting strategies and innovative technologies for an optimal temperature controlled distribution performance.

PORT2PORT 2013 had drawn thousands of visitors among them business delagations, senior executives from major corporations, exporters, importers, airfreight and seafreight providers, logistic service providers and freight forwarders who all enjoyed an international atmosphere.

The focus on temperature controlled solutions has attracted many international service providers who took major part, such as Panalpina and K+N, as well as visitor from the pharmachutical, food and agriculture sectors from various leading Israeli and global companies.

Alongside the colorful exhibition set by many major logistic providers, a professional conference was carried out with the participation of diverse key speakers and panel members such as Mr. Yoram Eshel, Senior Director, Global Transportation and Logistics, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries; Mr. Thomas Berger, Senior Vice president, Global head of Industry Vertical Healthcare, Panalpina; Ms. Veronique Dameme, Vice President, Key Account Development / Pharma&Healthcare, K+N; Mr. Amir Shani, Chairman, The Israeli Federation of Freight Forwarders and Customs Clearing Agents; Dr. Rachel Karpel, an active member of the Israel Chapter of PDA; Mr. Gadi Barak, Logistics Manager, Mehadrin

The event was held in the presence of the hon. Minister of Transport & Road safety Mr. Israel Katz who expressed his appreciation from the event.

Many companies that took part in the event remarked it was a highly organized event and noted it was a highly professional event, and according to Mr. Doron Geva, CEO of PORT2PORT, the event was a “hugh success”.
