Mr. Yossi Atoun, CEO, FedEx Israel, hosted FedEx's Commercial Manager of Central and Eastern Europe, Ms. Petra Rittersberger, in Israel, for the International Transportation and Logistics Event, port2port 2007.
In her lecture at the "Air Freight" professional session, Ms. Rittersberger discussed the main trends in international commerce and mentioned the acquisition of PAFEX, India which took place two weeks ago.
During the impressive presentation, which included a video clip that showed astronauts in space awaiting a delivery shipped on board a FedEx space shuttle, Ms. Rittersberger stressed the expanding activity of FedEx in both India and China.
The professional session on Air Freight attracted senior members from numerous dispatch and air freight shipping companies, and was conducted at the conference hall of the Avenue Congress and Events Center. Session panel members, Including Yossi Atoun, CEO, FedEx Israel, Amnon Avraham, CEO, SwissPort Israel, Evelyn Cohen, CEO, FC International Transportation, Moti Levin, CEO, MAMAN and others have participated in the discussion which took place after the lecture.
It should be noted that FedEx is considered as the world leading express transportation company, transporting millions of shipments from about 220 countries daily. FedEx operates a daily cargo flight to and from Israel for the last ten years.
