TNT & Fridenson in a new European groupage service

Fridenson in co-operation with TNT Express have begun a new export LCL groupage service from Israel to Europe.
 
The newly inaugurated service, which departs Haifa on Thursdays afternoon, is intended to compete with air freight services from Israel to Europe.
 
In a press release issued by the two companies, both noted that the door to door transit time varies between 7 to 10 days to any European destination.
 
The statement also noted that the range of services intend to reduce transportation costs and yet ensure that cargo arrives on time to its final destination.
 
Cargo being transported using the new service is routed in Europe along TNT Express supply chains, however, instead of using aircraft, the cargo is being hauled by trucks along the shortest and most economic routes.
