The first delegation of Orian staff dispatched by the firm to Hong Kong and South China returned from their study tour early this week.  “What sets Orian apart from other firms is the professional quality of the staff, and there is nothing better than a study tour to sharpen professional aptitudes,” commented Ronen Azulay, deputy manager of Orian.

Orian management decided, in collaboration with Schenker, to send workers from the air and sea shipments and marketing departments to Hong Kong in order to see first-hand how these procedures are carried out on the other side of the globe.

It took a good few months of sustained effort on the part of Orian, working together with Schenker in their Hong Kong branch, in order to set up a program for the workers that would encompass all aspects of international shipping.

Just a week ago the first delegation of workers, six in number, left for a week’s tour of logistic warehouses in Hong Kong and in Shenzhen, China, as well as the cargo terminals and offices. Furthermore, they visited various departments involved with sea and air importing, met with key executives and acquired important tools that will enable them to make headway with their work in this field. “Without doubt, this visit made for much more efficient communication between Orian and Schenker-Hong Kong,” said one of the representatives in the first delegation. “We are now in a position to provide our clients with much better service after having familiarized ourselves with the possibilities and solutions that Schenker-Hong Kong has in its capacity to offer.”

Orian has announced that in the next few days another two delegations will be leaving for a study tour of Hong Kong. Azulay adds: “We well expect that the upgrade in the level of professional quality and the face-to-face intercom between the two teams will allow us to provide better and more professional service and to continue to be the leaders in this marketing sphere.”
