"Transclal Trade" reported last week a highly successful end to a community contribution scheme carried out in close co-operation with Latet, an Israeli Humanitarian Aid organization.

Latet main aim is to provide assistance to needy populations in Israel and around the world, based on a universal and egalitarian platform and by mobilizing the civilian society in Israel toward involvement in the humanitarian effort.

Transclal's employees contributed work hours and holidays to a special charity fund and the company tripled the amount collected by the workers.

The money collected, tens of thousands of Shekels, was donated to the needy population before the Jewish new year.

Mr. Moti Fridman director general of "Transclal Trade" outlined the company's community program for the New Year.

Fridman said that "Community development is a fundamentally important consideration for "Transclal Trade", hence the company will carry out a number of donation programs throughout the new year aiming to assist poor communities in general and to needy populations in the city of Lod area in particular". Transclal HQ is located at the city of Lod industrial area.

Fridman added that among the community contribution programs already discussed with the municipality Transclal aims to carry out this year the following:
upgrading old personal computers which will be donated to local schools; various other community activities with local youth, in close cooperation with the city of Lod municipality.
