Transworld Logistics Ltd. Celebrates 75th anniversary

Transworld Logistics Ltd. is one of the oldest privately owned logistics provider in Israel. The company which was established in Jaffa in 1932 began as a clearing agent.
 
Transworld began operating as an international forwarder in 1980. In recent years the company transformed into a one-stop- shop logistics provider offering a wide range of value-added logistic services for a complete supply-chain solution serving its customers in an array of industries, including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, high-technology, retail and more.
Transworld is the exclusive agent in Israel of Expeditors International, one of the world’s largest, most innovative and fastest growing logistics providers.
 
In a special event to celerbrate the 75th anniversary, Mr. Jacob Mohr, director general of Transworld Logistics Ltd. noted that 60% of the company's turnover comes from exports. He added that more than 20 of the company's clients had been working with the company for over 30 years and expressed his thanks to the outstanding relationships between the company and its clients as well as with Expeditors International.
 
Mr. Edwin de Jong, Expeditors's Director of District Sales - Europe & Africa Middle East Africa and indian sub-continent praised the long and fruitful partnership with Transworld. He noted that both companies share similar valuesand have unique culture that focuses on continual improvement.
 
Mr. Uriel Lynn, president of the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce who was a guest speaker praised the company for its long time of service to the Israeli trading community, noting that its history goes hand in hand with the history of the Israeli economy which was driven by a few who had a vision.
 
Mr. Shlomo Sharon Chiarman of the National Federation of Israeli International Freight Forwarders and Customs Clearing Agents congratulated the company's management and its employees for their outstanding success in a highly competitive environment and for their continued support of the National Federation of Israeli International Freight Forwarders.
