BDI's Most Valued Companies Ranking published last week positions Uti Logistics Israel, for the second time, as the top company among the most valued and successful freight forwarders and customs clearing agents in Israel.
 
BdiCode 2009 ranks leading Israeli freight forwarders and customs clearing agents using innovative methodology integrating financial data and qualitative parameters. UTi Logistics Israel was established in October 2007 and is jointly owned by UTi WorldwideInc (75%) & ZIM Integrated Shipping Services (25%).
 
In reaction to the Bdi ranking, Mr. Shlomo Sharon, director general of Uti Israel, said that he was happy to see the result and to note that the ranking examined professionalism as well as service quality. Sharon added that: "the recent merger with Newlog has improved and upgraded the company professionally and in terms of quality provided to our clients."
 
Main areas of operation: air and ocean freight forwarding, customs brokerage, supply chain management solutions, integrated transport, exhibitions, artworks, packing services, projects. The company offers comprehensive logistics services and has over 550 skilled and experienced employees, professionals in the field of freight forwarding, customs clearance.
 
According to BDI the company had a commission turnover of NIS190m in 2008. UTi Logistics Israel ranks 72 in the overall service sector of the BdiCode 2009. The code ranks Krief Group in the second place. The Group which was not listed in the code last year employs 50 skilled employees and provides comprehensive freight, courier, distribution services and qualified logistics services to the global market.
 
According to BDI the company had a commission turnover of NIS156m in 2008. Orian Ltd. is listed third (second in 2008) with commission turnover of NIS100m in 2008.
