Record number of motor vehicles, shipped on board K Line's Vehicles Carrier to Israel, were unloaded at Ashdod port last week
 
The "Bosphorus Highway" (Call Sign: 3EXG9) built in 2009, made her maiden voyage from North America, unloaded at Ashdod 3,500 vehicles assembled in Mexico, USA and Europe.
 
The "Bosphorus Highway" is one of six car carriers ordered by Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (K Line) to replace old car carriers. The vessel is 199m long, DWT: 18,792 can carry 6,000 vehicles.


Moshe Mano, CEO of Mano Maritime Ltd., K Line's general agent in Israel, said during a welcome ceremony held in Ashdod that the new car carrier introduced by K Line has an added value to the Israeli motor vehicle importers.
