APL Limited and APL Logistics (APLL), both subsidiaries of Singapore's Neptune Orient Lines, have announced the inclusion of Israel to their international network of shipping services.
APL Limited, is one of the largest US-based container shipping companies. The company's fleet of containerships operates some 60 shipping services & serves more than 100 markets in the Americas, the Asia/Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
APL deploys containers and chassis worldwide, and partnerships enable the company to offer intermodal transportation -- movement of freight through combinations of ship, train, and truck.
A sister company, APL Logistics, provides supply chain management services.
APL announced recently the nomination of Tiran Shipping as general agent for both APL as well as APLL.
Tiran Shipping is a well known shipping agents in the Israeli maritime sector representing several shipping services in the Israeli market. Through its Haifa main office and branch offices in Ashdod and Tel-Aviv Tiran Shipping provides professional and customer minded service.
As published, APL will provide competitive and short transit time to and from the USA through Port Said, Valencia and Felixtow. The services will run on two weekly sailings to the US east coast and a weekly service to the US west coast. Import services will run on a weekly sailing via Port Said.
