APM Terminals,(APMT),a global container port operator and part of the well-known Danish A.P. Mרller–Maersk Group, manages, operates and markets the Aqaba Container Terminal Pvt Co. (ACT) in a partnership with the Aqaba Development Corporation confirmed their interest in the tender for privatizing the Eilat port.
APMT operates 55 container facilities in 34 countries, including the ports in neighboring Aqaba and Egypt's Port Said.
