Allalouf: 50 cars for Israeli train

Allalouf completed transportaion of 50 cars designated for the Israeli Train. The cars, which were manufactered and converted by Bombardier for the Israeli market, are intended for use on the suburbian line

The cars were manufactured in the Bombardier factory in Denmark during the nineties. The Israeli Train bought from the Swedish train 9 used sets and they were converted for Israeli use at the Bombardier factory in Denmark, including air condition systems, brake systems and more systems.

Grimaldi compay, using its Israeli agent – Allalouf company, have transported the last 3 cars form Denmark, after they were being loaded on a Mafi Trailer and were brought on board the ship Grande Scandinavia which visited Ashdod port early this week.

Zeev Leibovich, the operating manager at Allalouf, which accompanied the entire tranportation process, said that the advantge of using the “roro” ships of Grimaldi and this specific transportation method is that by tranporting on a mafi-trailor does not inquire handling or special treatment for the car itself, which guarantees the cargo arrives safely, with no damage.

The cars, which were unloaded from the ship on the “Mafi”, were transported to the joining point of the railtrack with dock # 3 at the port, and were unloaded directly from the Mafi to the track. Leibobvich expressed satisfaction form the cooperaton with Ashdod port.

Gili Holzman, deputy general manager of Bomardier in Israel: “we were very satisfied from the logistic process, beginning with forwarding in Denmark, using Garimaldi company and Allalouf activity and Fridenzon in Israel”. Holzman added: “Ashdod port was recruited to the task and gave us all the neccesary resources in order to complete the project”.
