Ashdod port company released last week the port’s container traffic figures for 2008 showing that China was the largest source of incoming containers TEU 84,611 while TEU 2,688 were exported to China.

The third largest trading partner was Italy with TEU 46,903 and TEU 16,885 exported. Belgium was the forth largest trading partner with TEU 44,724 incoming containers and TEU 17,092 exported containers.
The fifth largest partner was Vietnam with TEU 25,982 and no exports.
Germany was in the six place with TEU 20,270 incoming containers and TEU 6,601 exported.
Spain was in the seventh place with TEU 16,732 imported and TEU 10,139 imported. The USA was in the eighth place with TEU 16,610 imported and TEU 780 exported.
