In a six hours period the port handled 1,507 containers
The port of Ashdod announced last week it had reached an all-time high container movements record for a six hours shift.
In a six hours period, during the unloading last week of K-Line 's container ship M/V Henry Hudson Bridge, (TEU capacity 9040) the port handled 1,507 containers.
During the six hours period, each of the six stevedore gangs that unloaded the vessel handled, on average, TEU40 per hour per gantry crane, in total TEU240 per vessel hour.
Port of Ashdod noted that the new record indicates that port productivity is increasing.
