Data released last week by the Shipping and Ports Authority (S&PA) at the Ministry of Transport, noted that during the month of august Israeli port handled TEU 198,000.
The port of Haifa handled TEU 119,000, while Ashdod port handled TEU 79,000. Both ports unloaded TEU 103,000 and loaded TEU 95,000. Haifa port unloaded TEU 60,000 and loaded TEU 59,000, while Ashdod unloaded TEU 43,000 and loaded TEU 36,000.
The ports handled in total 3,593 million tons of cargo. Haifa handled a total of 1.937 million tons, while Ashdod handled 1.589 million tons.
