CSAV: Nor Yam Shipping Agency nominated as sole agent in Israel

With effect from January 15th ,2010. Nor Yam Shipping Agency Ltd. has been acting as Norasia's agent in Israel for the last 12 years
 
CSAV- Compania Sud Americana de Vapores announced a change to its agency representation in Israel. With effect from January 15th ,2010 a new agency unit exclusively dedicated to attend the needs of its customers and to provide support to its shipping lines, CSAV, CSAV Libra and CSAV NORASIA, will be in operation under the care of Nor Yam Shipping Agency Ltd.
 
Nor Yam Shipping Agency Ltd. has been acting as Norasia's agent in Israel for the last 12 years whereas CSAV and Libra were represented in Israel by Tiran Shipping (1997) Ltd.
 
The CSAV Group is rated by Alphaliner's TOP 100 Operated fleets as per 22 January 2010, 11th in the world  holding 2.5% share of the world liner fleet in TEU terms - TEU 344,498.
 
the group operates 98, 7 owned TEU 34,821 and 91 chartered with Teu 309,677 capacity.
 
In early November 2009, CSAV strengthened its coverage of the West-Mediterranean and Black Sea regions in cooperation with Evergreen Line. A slot exchange agreement involving CSAV Norasia’s Asia Black Sea service (ABS) and Evergreen’s Far East-Mediterranean service (FEM) provides CSAV Norasia with weekly sailings between the Far East and West- Mediterranean.
 
The FEM service rotation is as follows:
 
Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Kaohsiung – Hong Kong – Yantian – Tanjung Pelepas – Colombo – Ashdod – Alexandria – Taranto – Genoa – Barcelona – Valencia – Taranto – Colombo – Tanjung Pelapas – Kaoshiung – Qingdao.
