Celebrity Cruises, Inc. newest Solstice-class cruise ship, Celebrity Silhouette, began its Holy Land/Middle East cruise in which it called at Haifa & Ashdod ports.
Built at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, the 122,000-ton, 2,886-passenger and 1,271 crew, Celebrity Silhouette is the fourth of five new Solstice Class ships Celebrity Cruises has committed to build between 2008 and 2012 and has a number of new features, including an outdoor interactive grill and private cabanas overlooking a real grass lawn on the top deck.
